For The Children

The next Woman to be featured in my Women’s History Month Empowerment series is Danielle Fairbair-Bland. I first heard about this sister in a group on facebook. I was instantly inspired by the fact that she had published not only one, but several children’s books. If you know me, you know it is my dream to publish books for children. As I followed her journey closer, I learned that she did more than just write children’s books, she also dealt with matters of the heart and mind for Black people.

Read a little about her below.

Dee is an Author, Therapist, Author Coach and Speaker focused on promoting joy and wellness throughout Black communities. Dee is the owner of Uplifting Hearts Counseling, a virtual mental health practice supporting children and teens experiencing challenging life transitions. As an author, Dee creates children’s books that amplify the experiences of Black children and is determined to introduce stories to heal and restore lives.

Danielle Fairbairn-Bland’s books for children.

I ordered a few of her books for my children and they love them. Honestly, I love them too. It’s always good when books can be enjoyed by children and their parents alike.

Danielle, thank you for your many contributions to humanity and to the rich legacy of Black Women in America and throughout the diaspora. We celebrate you, we acknowledge you, and we appreciate you. Thank you.

Dee’s collection can be found on Amazon ( click here ) and you can learn more about her work by visiting www.deefbland.com
